Automatic Meditation Tracking: Habituul Now Syncs Mindful Minutes with Apple Health
We're thrilled to announce another powerful integration: Habituul now automatically tracks your mindful minutes by syncing with Apple Health! Whether you're using a meditation app, your Apple Watch, or logging sessions directly in Apple Health, your meditation habit updates automatically—no manual entry required.
What's New: Seamless Mindful Minutes Integration
Building a consistent meditation practice is challenging enough without the added friction of manually tracking your sessions. You might meditate using apps like Headspace, Calm, or Insight Timer, or you might use your Apple Watch's Breathe app. Now, all of that data flows seamlessly into Habituul.
When you create a meditation habit with a mindful minutes goal, Habituul connects directly to Apple Health to track your progress automatically. Your meditation sessions are synced, your progress is updated, and your habit is marked complete when you reach your goal—all without lifting a finger.
How It Works
1. Create a Meditation Habit
When you add a meditation habit to your routine, you can set a goal in mindful minutes. This habit is designed to help you build a consistent mindfulness practice, whether you're aiming for 5 minutes a day or 30 minutes.
2. Grant Permission (One Time)
The first time you add a meditation habit with mindful minutes tracking, Habituul will ask for permission to read your mindful minutes data from Apple Health. This is a one-time setup that takes just a few seconds. We only read your mindful minutes data—we never write to or modify your health information.
3. Automatic Progress Updates
Once connected, your mindful minutes update automatically:
- When you open the app — Your progress syncs as soon as you launch Habituul
- Throughout the day — The app periodically syncs your meditation time while you're using it
- Real-time progress — See your current meditation time (e.g., "12 / 15 minutes") right in your habit list
No tapping, no manual entry, no hassle. Just meditate, and Habituul takes care of the rest.
Why This Matters
Less Friction, More Meditation
The best habits are the ones that feel effortless. By removing the manual tracking step, we're eliminating a barrier between you and your practice. You can focus on what matters: actually meditating.
Works with Your Favorite Apps
Apple Health aggregates mindful minutes from multiple sources—your meditation apps, Apple Watch Breathe sessions, and any other connected mindfulness apps. This means all your meditation time is tracked in one place, regardless of which app you use.
Visual Progress
See your progress at a glance with our intuitive progress indicator. The habit row shows exactly how many mindful minutes you've completed out of your goal, so you always know where you stand.
